Attorney Roderick G. Davis is a native of Wilmington, North Carolina.  Roderick graduated from North Carolina A&T State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. Upon graduating from North Carolina A&T, Roderick relocated to the Washington, DC metropolitan area and worked for several years as an accountant and auditor.  As an accountant and auditor, Roderick performed financial statement audits for federal, state and local governments. Roderick also assisted small businesses and nonprofit organizations with compliance, disclosure and reporting requirements.​ ​

 

Acting on his passion and commitment  to community service, Roderick was given the opportunity to enroll in the North Carolina Central University School of Law.  During law school Roderick served as the first year class president and was later the vice president of the Black Lawyers Student Association. Roderick also participated in the criminal, civil, and alternative dispute resolution legal clinics.

 

Upon graduation from law school, Roderick worked for three years as an assistant public defender in Durham, North Carolina.  As an assistant public defender, Roderick gained vast experience in criminal law and procedure and developed his trial advocacy skills. Attorney Davis appears in court daily and he always fights to assure his clients rights are protected.
